The Domestic Life

Surprisingly, since deciding to stay home with my girls, I've been loving my new title as mom. I thought I would miss working (in a paying job!), but so far I have no yearning to go anywhere. So, in line with my newfound appreciation for the domestic life, I have some other new obsessions. One being my clothesline in the backyard. I feel so old-fashioned hanging my clothes to out to dry, but something about it makes it feel more clean and environmentally friendly. I'm also trying to eat/grow/buy more local produce. I was reading this book called Animal, Vegetable, Miracle by Barbara Kingsolver that has really changed my way of thinking about what we eat. http://www.amazon.com/Animal-Vegetable-Miracle-Year-Food/dp/0060852569/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1213633105&sr=8-1 So, this summer I'm trying to be more in tune with what we eat.

I guess for now I'm really enjoying being a domestic diva.
